Lullaby
by Chuck Palahniuk

Another amazing offering from the man who brought us Fight Club.

I don't want to reveal too much.  Lullaby is based on an African Chant or "culling song" that's been slipped into a well distributed book of poems and it brings death to those in its path.  A journalist stumbles upon it while doing a story on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

One of my favorite subplots (which is also described on the back cover as I'm trying to be careful and not spoil anything) is Helen the real estate agent who only deals with haunted homes because the turn over rate is high.

I interviewed Chuck over drinks at Jupiters in Berkeley last week and I'll be getting an audio stream of the interview up as soon as possible.

Regarding film deals, Chuck told me Invisible Monsters is set to start shooting, the rights to Choke and Lullaby are held with movie studios and Survivor development died because no one wants to make a film about a hijacker after 9/11.

Literary love,
