Playing Right Field
by
George Tabb

George Tabb FINALLY puts a book out.  It is SO great to see a well deserved author get out to the masses.

I'll let you in on a little secret.  George Tabb got me into writing seriously.  Seriously!  I used to read his column every month in MaximumRocknRoll, a punk rock 'zine that was like the World Wide Web for punk rockers before there was the World Wide Web.  Oh, stop it, it wasn't THAT long ago!

Tabb had a way of grabbing you within the first paragraph and taking you on a melodic journey through hell and back....and he continues his literary genius in PLAYING RIGHT FIELD.

Damn.  He got beat up A LOT when he was a kid.  And God bless him for it, because he nails what it's like to grow up as an outsider.....and we have a little bit of outsider in all of us.

To tell you the truth, last month really sucked reading-wise for me.  That's why Bathtub Gin made it as the book of the month...because everything else I was reading sucked HARD.  It depressed me.

Then I picked up PLAYING RIGHT FIELD and my luck has changed for the better.

You know what?  I was going to list a bunch of the other books I've read this month and just decided not to.  I don't want to steer you any other way.  Get online and buy this book now!
