BOBBED HAIR AND BATHTUB GIN
by
Marion Meade

The book chronicles the decade of the 1920's as lived by Dorothy Parker, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Zelda & F. Scott Fitzgerald and Edna Gerber.

It's a fascinating look into an era gone by......the writers documented in this book seemed less passionate about writing and more passionate about how they dressed and who they slept with and it must've looked something like an episode of ELIMI-DATE hanging out with them.

What surprised me is how similar the 1920's were to the dot-com boom of the late 90's.

This is one of the better biographies I've read.  I'm definitely checking out Marion Meade's other work.
