The Man Who Outgrew His Prison Cell
by
Joe Loya

I've lost interest with most of the books i've tried to start over the last couple of months, but was fully redeemed by reading HOW I OUTGREW BY PRISON CELL by Joe Loya. By far the best prison book ever is EDUCATION OF A FELON by Ed Bunker, but this one comes in a close second. Plus, Joe was raised to be a minister and in a very fucked up baptist kinda way.....the first half of the book focuses on his upbringing with his abusive father and the craziness of the church as well has his interpretation of Christianity at the time, even before getting to his bank robbing spree. The hypocrisy, the abuse, it was all pretty amazing.
