STILL LIFE IN CUBICLE

I’m a lover
I’ve made women moan in three languages
I’m just troubled enough to stay interesting
but just wholesome enough to build a home

                                                hold on
                                                Hello - Law Office
Yeah, how are you Mr. Covington?
                                                You need your case number?
OK, hold on. OK, it’s 06-3695
                                                You’re welcome.  Bye bye

I’m a fighter
I’ve felt a man’s breath slip away in my choke
I’m crazy enough to have my brother’s back
but smart enough to know when to walk

                                                hold on
                                                Hello – Law Office
Yeah, how are you Ms. Greenberg?
You want to file a proof of claim?
OK, hold on.  OK, I’ll transfer you
                                                You’re welcome. Bye bye.

I’m an artist
I’ve looked into the lovely dark woods and turned back
I’m brave enough to wrestle with angels
but humble enough to know when to pray

                                                I’m a receptionist
