Hailey Tay - Sept/Oct 2009

INTELLIGENTLY IMPAIRED

Your unfailing memory failed to memorize me.
Your scrutinizing sight was too blind to see me.
Your skillful tricks didn’t do me right.
Your confidence charmed me in to disgust.
Your humor consisted of blank stares.
Your chemistry only reacted to doofuses.
Your math counted multiple girlfriends.
Your diligence persevered me in to 'trash' file.
Your sincerity loved bidding me goodbyes.
Your disciplined routines regularly broke me.
Tell me why you’re still breathing please.

Hailey Tay has a candy inclination to write, especially almost amusing poetry. She decided to gather some XX-chromosome courage to take a step forth in to poetry competitions and such, and is hoping to eventually be able to venture into the Literature Arts industry, into journalism or even producing a book of sorts. She hopes her poem will crank up a smile on your faces as much as they sent her fingers tap dancing.
