J. D. Nelson - January 2008

BELIEVIN' IS EASY

A tortilla-suit won't do us any good
w/o a toaster oven & a jar of salsa.

I'm looking for a good time
& some good rice.

You addin' up my signals?
Addle up my singles, stricken --

We've been experiencing a Laser Lapse --
don't laugh!

Some daredevil dustbuster
came running out of the sale-barn
w/ a box of burning Easter chicks.

Steel rabbit w/ drums
& a brown bag full of salty home-fries --

I'm soiled, lonely, standing on the RR tracks,
guessing at the composition of clouds --

the Ultra Camel is looking for
the box of Fortune.
